Did You Ever Think You Could Dive in an Aquarium?
Experience the wonders of the ocean world on the other side of the glass in Birch Aquarium's giant kelp forest habitat.
Participate in animal feedings, tank care, and public dive shows. Your first step is to obtain a RESCUE DIVER certification through Ocean Enterprises.
"Aquarium Diver" Requirements:
Rescue Diver Certification
Minimum 50 dives
12 within the previous 12 months
Maintain CPR/First Aid/Oxygen
Administration Certifications, Every 2 years
Swim test to address conditions in the kelp tank
Medical Evaluation and Doctors' Approval (Scripps Institute of Oceanography dive requirements)
Aquarium Diver written exam
Check-out dive with Birch Aquarium dive staff
